I am David Andrews and offer my Pastoral leadership to the congregation as the need arises. I have over 40 years’ experience as Pastor of parish churches in the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Special attention is paid to the Christian seasonal calendar of the Church year. There is a high regard for Church liturgy and presenting of the Word. Pastoral care is giving to the sick, “shut-ins,” hospitalized, and those in nursing homes. Pastoral Counseling is available in the parish setting as requested.

I have experience in hospital chaplaincy setting, psychiatric referrals, alcohol and drug rehabilitation, and crisis counseling. I have helped initiate and guide lay caring ministry programs.

My Theological Statement

God gave us the gift of Jesus Christ who was born as a human child, lived among us, bore witness as a servant savior, commissioned disciples, empowered them, died and rose victorious over death. I believe he is the Savior I need for eternal life with God.

The only hope for the strife-torn world is in the compassion and justice of the loving Creator who is the living God of history; and those who would practice and promote his just ways with others. Together, we experience His gifts and graces leading us in our fellowship of forgiveness and service to others.

Part of our discipleship is to more fully understand and commune with Him in a living relationship. This is not done by ourselves but only as we are drawn to others who are also attracted by the light of the living Savior.

The Church is the community of faith which shares God’s redeeming love in human life both in personal experience and within the community as the “body of Christ.” The gospel and all its aspects are not ours to claim alone, but is given to be shared with everyone. It is our particular responsibility as Christian disciples to extend the message of God’s grace so that all persons may have the opportunity to be reconciled to God and neighbor, that they may experience new life in the graces that lead to this resurrection faith.
