Greetings and welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church. As the pastor of Historic Trinity UMC, we as a faith community in downtown Youngstown are committed to helping you have a wonderful wedding worship service.

As the officiating clergy at your wedding, I do require that you as a couple attend worship at Trinity, at least once prior to your wedding day in order to see the space and meet the members of the church who will be praying for you as you begin your marriage.

Additionally, I will contact you to schedule a consultation with myself at least 30 days prior to your wedding. This benefits me and both of you as a couple, so that we might get to know you better and to develop a relationship with Trinity.

Worship Wedding Services

Trinity United Methodist Church offers wedding couples two unique spaces for your wedding ceremony:

• The Chapel of Friendly Bells – Seating capacity 60
• The Sanctuary – Seating capacity over 400

Wedding dates and times are on a first-come-first-served basis. It is possible for the Trinity United Methodist Church to have more than one wedding on any given day, so reservation of your time is especially important.

Your wedding date and time will be reserved on the church wedding calendar after TUMC receives your $200 deposit (non-refundable) and a signed wedding contract.

Payment in full for the balance of your wedding must be in Trinity’s office 30 days prior to your wedding date.

Fees are as follows:

• Sanctuary $350.00 (Payable to TUMC)
• Chapel $200.00 (Payable to TUMC)
• Pastor $200.00 (Cash/check payable to minister)
• Organist $150.00 (Cash or check to organist)
• Custodian $150.00 (Cash or check to janitor)

Wedding Rehearsal

Our Sanctuary Weddings include a wedding rehearsal one day prior to your ceremony. The “Chapel” and “Minister Only” weddings do not include this service.

It is important that the wedding party be ON TIME for the rehearsal.

Trinity UMC allots one (1) hour for the wedding rehearsal, and the rehearsal and ceremony are entirely under the direction of the Trinity Pastor and the TUMC volunteer.

Professional wedding consultants, party planners, florists, etc., are not permitted to participate in the conducting of the rehearsal or ceremony.

The marriage license must be into the TUMC volunteer before the ceremony begins.
